Best neighborhoods to rent in Bothell?

Longtime lurker here, I relocated for work and You can expect to pay around $2,295 for rent here. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Am I overthinking this? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

We moved here with our family and it exceeded my expectations. Schools in Meadowbrook area are excellent. Kids love it here.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a data analyst who relocated here from Phoenix about 1 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Decent public transit for the size

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are wild, gas is tough.

Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I've lived in Midtown for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from LA, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Decent public transit for the size
- The pet-friendliness scene is average

The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Chain restaurants dominate

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for families. Definitely worth checking out..
