First post here. I'm a college student here and It's a a small town city with about 21,014 people. Rent is about $2,552/month for a decent place. You can expect to pay around $2,552 for rent here. Household incomes average around $144,941 in Bothell West. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. What do you all think? Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Bought a house here in 2018 and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from Pittsburgh and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Downtown. It's hit or miss for what you get.
Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in construction you might struggle.
People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: tough. Tons of options if you like seafood.
Good luck with whatever you decide..

Weather-wise, the summers are pretty good and winters are developing. You get used to it after the first year.
