Best neighborhoods in Boulder for families?

We have two kids (2 and 7) and are looking for a family-friendly neighborhood in Boulder. Budget is around $1924/month for rent. We prioritize good schools and safety. Any recommendations?

Also, are there good parks and activities for kids in the area?

Rent tip: look for places in fall. Prices drop and there's more availability.

As someone who moved here from San Francisco, I can confirm most of this. The weather surprised me the most.

Don't sleep on Midtown. It's up and coming and still affordable.

Check out the Oakwood area. Way more affordable and still close to everything.

I've lived in Riverside for 8 years and it's decent, has its pros and cons.

If you can afford it, Old Town is the best place to live. Period.

Respectfully disagree about the safety concerns. In my experience, there are good opportunities if you network.

Can confirm the safety issue. But it really depends on the neighborhood. Downtown and Midtown are perfectly safe.

For families, I'd recommend looking at Highland Park. Schools are rated well and it's quiet.
