Is public transit usable in Boulder?

Hi all, My family moved here when I was a kid. It's a a mid-size city city with about 106K people. With a population of 106K, Boulder is a mid-size city. Crime rate is something to consider -Boulder sits at 256.2 per 100K. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. TIA! It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development. The suburbs are where most families end up.

I work in hospitality here and I love the pace of life here. The job market for my field is better than expected. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a chef who relocated here from Raleigh about 2 years ago. The main reasons were work and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are pricey, gas is solid.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
