Working remotely from Boulder Creek

My family moved here when I was a kid. It's a a small town city with about 5,353 people. Rent is about $1,844/month for a decent place. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Am I overthinking this?

Hot take but it was the best decision I ever made. I know a lot of people disagree but after 8 years here, that's my honest assessment.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Charlotte and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Riverside. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in marketing. If you're in legal you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
