Best industries in Bountiful right now

Anyone else feel this way? I'm a college student here and With a population of 45,093, Bountiful is a smaller city. Rent is about $1,467/month for a decent place. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Should I be concerned? Thanks! Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 15 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is cost of living. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the walkability is legit. And if you're into running, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Eastside side vs the Lakewood side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Hot take but it's not perfect but it works for me. I know a lot of people disagree but after 3 years here, that's my honest assessment.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are solid, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
