So, I'm a 28-year-old physical therapist and Rent is about $2,240/month for a decent place. The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Boston and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Cedar Grove. It's underrated for what you get.
Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in real estate you might struggle.
People: Generally decent. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like BBQ.
It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. it's not perfect but it works for me. Compared to Miami it's underrated.

The food scene here is hit or miss. Tons of great Southern places. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.
