Biggest downsides of living in Bowie?

I relocated for work and Homes are going for about $442,000 on average. It's a a smaller city city with about 57,771 people. Average temperature is around 55--F, so expect cold winters. Rent is about $2,240/month for a decent place. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The food scene here is surprisingly good. What do you all think? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Used to live on the Cedar Grove side, now on the Eastside side. Completely different vibe. it's improved dramatically in recent years.

I'm a writer and I've found the quality of life is solid. The community is hit or miss and there's always something going on.
