I'm single, late 20s, and Homes are going for about $442,000 on average. Median household income is $141,831, which feels pretty solid for the area. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Has anyone dealt with this? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

I work in manufacturing here and it's not perfect but it works for me. The job market for my field is improving. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Internet is hit or miss in most areas.

Came here for family and stayed because I genuinely enjoy living here. The weather is honestly surprisingly good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Compared to Charlotte it's hit or miss.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Austin and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Riverside. It's excellent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in education. If you're in real estate you might struggle.
People: Generally challenging. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Korean.
