Best hidden gems in Bowling Green

Been meaning to ask this. Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. The unemployment rate is 3.7%, which is pretty low. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a writer who relocated here from Austin about 15 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Affordable housing options
- Diverse dining options
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Dating scene is rough
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are manageable, gas is improving.

Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
