Bowling Green housing prices -when will it stop?

Alright, I'm retired and The unemployment rate is 3.7%, which is pretty low. Poverty rate is 12.9%, which is around average. It's a a smaller city city with about 30,051 people. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. What do you all think? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

I work in government here and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The job market for my field is tough. Good luck with whatever you decide..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Fairview. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in finance. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like seafood.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

Weather-wise, the summers are better than expected and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.

I've been here 2 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is surprisingly good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Eastside side vs the East side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

As someone who grew up here, I'm still on the fence after all this time. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cultural scene used to be much stable but now it's hit or miss.

I work in legal here and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The job market for my field is hit or miss. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Bought a house here in 2018 and it exceeded my expectations. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Internet is hit or miss in most areas.
