Not sure if this has been asked before, but We have two kids and With a population of 12,457, Box Elder is a small town. Average temperature is around 47--F, so expect cold winters. The unemployment rate is 2.4%, which is pretty low. You can expect to pay around $1,354 for rent here. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.
