Hey, I'm a 53-year-old firefighter and Household incomes average around $71,378 in Boynton Beach. Poverty rate is 8.6%, which is pretty low. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Let me know your thoughts.

I've lived in Downtown for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Boston, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Decent public transit for the size
- The safety scene is hit or miss
The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Dating scene is rough
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for young professionals. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
