Things that make Boynton Beach unique

Hi all, My family moved here when I was a kid. The unemployment rate is 3.2%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $71,378, which feels about average for the area. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Has anyone dealt with this? I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

I've lived in Pine Hills for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Active local events and festivals
- Four distinct seasons
- The community vibe scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for singles. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

As someone who grew up here, it exceeded my expectations. A lot has changed in the past few years though. weather used to be much manageable but now it's hit or miss.

The food scene here is underrated. Tons of great farm-to-table places. it's not perfect but it works for me.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a social worker who relocated here from Chicago about 9 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Close to major attractions
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Can feel isolated

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are wild, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. No regrets on my end..

Used to live on the The Heights side, now on the Springfield side. Completely different vibe. I have mixed feelings honestly.

We moved here with our family and it was the best decision I ever made. Schools in Downtown area are underrated. Kids love it here.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good internet infrastructure
- The outdoor recreation scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Summers can be brutally hot

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for remote workers. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Highland for 15 years. Moved from San Diego for school. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is improving. We bought in 2016 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts.

**Employment:**
tech is strong here. hospitality is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are reasonable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
the quality of life is solid. The outdoor scene is challenging - we have national forests within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Highland schools are average. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Winters are long and cold. Urban sprawl is real. And housing market can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For young professionals, I'd say this is a 8/10. Feel free to reach out with questions.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
