Brackettville housing prices -when will it stop?

Hello, I grew up here but left for a while. The median home value here is around $57,100, which is actually reasonable. You can expect to pay around $746 for rent here. Average temperature is around 69--F, so the weather is moderate. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value healthcare, you'll love it. The healthcare is genuinely decent and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. My neighborhood (Cedar Grove) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Dallas, be prepared for the culture shock. weather is completely different here. And Not a lot of cultural diversity.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
