Rent vs buy in Bradford -what makes sense?

Crime rate is something to consider -Bradford sits at 1,092.9 per 100K. Homes are going for about $76,400 on average. Rent is about $745/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 45--F, so expect cold winters. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Thoughts? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Hot take but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. I know a lot of people disagree but after 6 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it was the best decision I ever made. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I work in hospitality here and it exceeded my expectations. The job market for my field is tough. No regrets on my end..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are better than expected, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

As someone who grew up here, it's been a really good experience overall. A lot has changed in the past few years though. community vibe used to be much established but now it's decent.

Bought a house here in 2016 and it's exactly what I was looking for. Property values have gone up a bit since then.
