OK so I'm retired and Average temperature is around 74--F, so it's warm year-round. Median household income is $77,068, which feels about average for the area. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in South. It's surprisingly good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in tech. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.
People: Generally underrated. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.
Good luck with whatever you decide..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. it's exactly what I was looking for. Compared to Atlanta it's challenging.

Weather-wise, the summers are better than expected and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.
