Is Brandon getting better or worse?

Longtime lurker here, We're a young couple and Rent is about $1,691/month for a decent place. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The weather takes some getting used to. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want school system, then yeah this place is great. But if traffic matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Phoenix and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Cedar Grove. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in consulting. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally solid. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like sushi.
