Planning a move to Brandon -neighborhoods?
Longtime lurker here, I grew up here but left for a while. Poverty rate is 9.5%, which is pretty low. It's a a mid-size city city with about 116K people. You can expect to pay around $1,691 for rent here. Rent is about $1,691/month for a decent place. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Has anyone dealt with this? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The suburbs are where most families end up. The suburbs are where most families end up. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.
