Thinking about relocating to Brawley from Salt Lake City
First post here. I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Rent is about $954/month for a decent place. Crime rate is something to consider -Brawley sits at 458.7 per 100K. Poverty rate is 18.3%, which is higher than I expected. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.
I've been here 10 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is dating scene. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is underrated.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Riverside side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Definitely worth checking out..
