Moving to Breckenridge for work -advice?

Hey everyone, Household incomes average around $46,989 in Breckenridge. You can expect to pay around $775 for rent here. Crime rate is something to consider -Breckenridge sits at 256.7 per 100K. Average temperature is around 64--F, so the weather is moderate. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. What would you do? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is walkability. it exceeded my expectations. Worth doing your research before committing.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 3 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is pet-friendliness. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the housing market is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is challenging.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Lakewood side vs the Maple Ridge side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
