Weekend activities in Breese?

Hi all, Military spouse here. Average temperature is around 58--F, so the weather is moderate. It's a a small town city with about 4,373 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Breese sits at 111.2 per 100K. With a population of 4,373, Breese is a small town. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Atlanta about 11 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Active local events and festivals
- Close to major attractions

Cons that are real:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are manageable, gas is improving.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
