Curious what people think. I'm retired and Average temperature is around 69--F, so the weather is moderate. The unemployment rate is 4.0%, which is pretty low. With a population of 23,441, Brent is a small town. Household incomes average around $45,708 in Brent. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Anyone in a similar situation? The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Came here for quality of life and stayed because it's not perfect but it works for me. The walkability is honestly challenging and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are underrated, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a data analyst who relocated here from Tampa about 3 years ago. The main reasons were work and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good internet infrastructure
- Strong sense of community
Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Road conditions need improvement
Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are established, gas is better than expected.
Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Definitely worth checking out..

As someone who grew up here, I love the pace of life here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. food scene used to be much developing but now it's decent.
