Is Brent walkable?

Hi all, I'm originally from Omaha and You can expect to pay around $1,074 for rent here. Homes are going for about $121,100 on average. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Is this normal for Brent? Thanks for reading. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.

I've been here 3 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is walkability. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is surprisingly good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Riverside side vs the Old Town side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Phoenix and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Lakewood. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in real estate. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
