Moving from Las Vegas to Bridgeport next month

I grew up here but left for a while. You can expect to pay around $1,405 for rent here. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Public transit is hit or miss here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I have mixed feelings honestly.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are improving, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Bought a house here in 2023 and it's exactly what I was looking for. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

I've lived in Lakewood for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Tampa, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The safety scene is average

The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for couples. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because it's not perfect but it works for me. The healthcare is honestly excellent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
