Honest thoughts on life in Bridgeport

First post here. Just moved here 2 months ago and Poverty rate is 22.1%, which is higher than I expected. It's a a small town city with about 6,841 people. Average temperature is around 48--F, so expect cold winters. Rent is about $740/month for a decent place. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Am I wrong here? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Bought a house here in 2023 and I genuinely enjoy living here. Property values have gone about the same since then.
