First post here. We're a young couple and The median home value here is around $234,100, which is actually reasonable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Has anyone dealt with this? The city has invested a lot in new development. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

I'm a nurse and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. The community is average and there's always something going on.

I've lived in The Heights for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Active local events and festivals
- The dating scene scene is excellent
The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Not very walkable outside downtown
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for remote workers. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
