Is Bridgeton getting better or worse?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but We're a young couple and Crime rate is something to consider -Bridgeton sits at 916.5 per 100K. It's a a smaller city city with about 26,836 people. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Am I wrong here? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 13 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into running, this place is hit or miss.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Riverside side vs the Maple Ridge side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..

Bought a house here in 2015 and I have mixed feelings honestly. Property values have gone about the same since then.
