Unpopular opinion about Bridgeton

Born and raised here. Rent is about $1,367/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 55--F, so expect cold winters. Homes are going for about $134,400 on average. The unemployment rate is 3.2%, which is pretty low. The suburbs are where most families end up. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Weather-wise, the summers are underrated and winters are developing. You get used to it after the first year.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 4 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is housing market. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into running, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Greenfield side vs the East side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
