What to expect moving to Bridgeton?

Curious what people think. Am I wrong here? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

I've been living here for 6 years and I'd say it's exactly what I was looking for. The community vibe is decent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are excellent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I've lived in West for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Salt Lake City, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Diverse dining options
- The housing market scene is improving

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Rising rent and home prices

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for retirees. Hope this helps!.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value weather, you'll love it. The traffic is genuinely hit or miss and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. My neighborhood (Old Town) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Charlotte, be prepared for the culture shock. healthcare is completely different here. And Limited high-paying job options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Hot take but it was the best decision I ever made. I know a lot of people disagree but after 10 years here, that's my honest assessment.
