Just moved to Bristol, any tips?

Crime rate is something to consider -Bristol sits at 88.4 per 100K. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Portland and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Greenfield. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in engineering. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally solid. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Southern.

Definitely worth checking out..

Came here for my partner's job and stayed because I genuinely enjoy living here. The job market is honestly pretty good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
