Is Bristow still affordable?

OK so The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Should I be concerned? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Meadowbrook for 12 years. Moved from Austin for quality of life. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is pretty good. We bought in 2022 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.

**Employment:**
marketing is strong here. construction is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are pricey for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's improved dramatically in recent years. The outdoor scene is pretty good - we have hiking trails within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Meadowbrook schools are average. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Can feel isolated. Limited entertainment options. And cost of living can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For retirees, I'd say this is a 8/10. It's not for everyone but it works for us.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want walkability, then yeah this place is great. But if school system matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I've been living here for 5 years and I'd say I have mixed feelings honestly. The cost of living is average compared to other places I've lived. Overall Hope this helps!.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.

I've been here 14 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is weather. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the walkability is legit. And if you're into running, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The The Heights side vs the Highland side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

As someone who grew up here, it's exactly what I was looking for. A lot has changed in the past few years though. housing market used to be much established but now it's tough.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it exceeded my expectations. Compared to Minneapolis it's improving.
