Hey everyone, Been living here since 2005. The unemployment rate is 2.1%, which is pretty low. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Does this match your experience? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a chef who relocated here from Denver about 4 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Active local events and festivals
Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are reasonable, gas is decent.
Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Feel free to reach out with questions..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's been a really good experience overall. Internet is improving in most areas.
