So, I've been here for 2 years and Poverty rate is 0.8%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Broadlands sits at 118.6 per 100K. The suburbs are where most families end up. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. What are your go-to spots? It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is food scene. I genuinely enjoy living here. Worth doing your research before committing.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from Portland about 7 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and quality of life.
Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Decent public transit for the size
- Good internet infrastructure
Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Chain restaurants dominate
Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are pricey, gas is average.
Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
