Grocery stores in Broadview Park -recommendations?
Curious what people think. My partner and I are You can expect to pay around $1,846 for rent here. Average temperature is around 76--F, so it's warm year-round. The unemployment rate is 3.6%, which is pretty low. The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Anyone in a similar situation? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are average, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want outdoor recreation, then yeah this place is great. But if dating scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from San Francisco and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in North. It's hit or miss for what you get.
Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in education. If you're in government you might struggle.
People: Generally average. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.
Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. it's been a really good experience overall. Compared to Austin it's improving.

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.
