Unpopular opinion about Broadview Park

I'm a remote worker and You can expect to pay around $1,846 for rent here. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Any help is appreciated. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 11 years ago. The main reasons were work and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good internet infrastructure
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are competitive, gas is excellent.

Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Bought a house here in 2020 and it exceeded my expectations. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Compared to Pittsburgh it's surprisingly good.

As someone who grew up here, it's improved dramatically in recent years. A lot has changed in the past few years though. traffic used to be much wild but now it's average.
