Best coffee shops in Brockport?

Anyone else feel this way? I work in food service and Household incomes average around $58,237 in Brockport. With a population of 7,153, Brockport is a small town. Poverty rate is 9.9%, which is pretty low. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What are your go-to spots? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are tough, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 4 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is safety. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the walkability is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Fairview side vs the Meadowbrook side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Came here for family and stayed because the quality of life is solid. The cost of living is honestly excellent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Nashville about 15 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Lots of new development happening
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are manageable, gas is solid.

Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Happy to answer more specific questions..
