Job market in Brockton for tech?

I'm single, late 20s, and Cheers. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value outdoor recreation, you'll love it. The healthcare is genuinely pretty good and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. My neighborhood (Uptown) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Austin, be prepared for the culture shock. weather is completely different here. And Summers can be brutally hot.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

We moved here with our family and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Schools in Old Town area are pretty good. Kids love it here.

Bought a house here in 2018 and I have mixed feelings honestly. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

I've lived in South for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The healthcare scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for singles. Definitely worth checking out..
