Life in Brockton as a young professional

OK so I'm originally from St. Louis and Rent is about $1,545/month for a decent place. Crime rate is something to consider -Brockton sits at 820.7 per 100K. Household incomes average around $77,089 in Brockton. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The suburbs are where most families end up. Has anyone dealt with this? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Good luck with whatever you decide..

I work in education here and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The job market for my field is pretty good. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
