Quick question about Brookfield

I relocated for work and Crime rate is something to consider -Brookfield sits at 152.2 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $1,328 for rent here. Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters. Household incomes average around $108,429 in Brookfield. It's a a small town city with about 19,235 people. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Austin and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Meadowbrook. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
