Living in Brookfield -the reality

Longtime lurker here, I'm single, late 30s, and With a population of 41,592, Brookfield is a smaller city. Average temperature is around 47--F, so expect cold winters. Homes are going for about $419,300 on average. Poverty rate is 2.7%, which is pretty low. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Pros:
- Great weather
- Friendly people
- Low taxes

Cons:
- Sprawl everywhere
- Boring for young people
- Poor road conditions
- Far from major airports

It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Internet is hit or miss in most areas.

Hot take but I genuinely enjoy living here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 8 years here, that's my honest assessment.
