Raising a family in Brookfield -thoughts?
Hey everyone, Been living here since 2007. Rent is about $1,794/month for a decent place. It's a a smaller city city with about 41,592 people. The median home value here is around $419,300, which is pretty steep. Homes are going for about $419,300 on average. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. What do you all think? Any help is appreciated. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
