I work in finance here and I love the pace of life here. The job market for my field is decent. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I genuinely enjoy living here. Internet is underrated in most areas.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Dallas and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Fairview. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in consulting. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally better than expected. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Italian.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 12 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is better than expected.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Midtown side vs the East side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Happy to answer more specific questions..
