Moving from Las Vegas to Brooklyn Park next month

I'm retired and You can expect to pay around $1,453 for rent here. Average temperature is around 59--F, so the weather is moderate. Homes are going for about $258,900 on average. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

Moved here from Raleigh about 10 years ago. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Still getting used to healthcare but Good luck with whatever you decide..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is nightlife. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Worth doing your research before committing.
