Freelancing from Broomfield -experience?

Alright, I've been here for 10 years and It's a a smaller city city with about 75,110 people. The unemployment rate is 2.3%, which is pretty low. You can expect to pay around $2,074 for rent here. Homes are going for about $631,600 on average. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The suburbs are where most families end up. What would you do? Property taxes are high but you get good services. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value cultural scene, you'll love it. The cultural scene is genuinely underrated and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. My neighborhood (Greenfield) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Austin, be prepared for the culture shock. school system is completely different here. And Not very walkable outside downtown.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
