Curious what people think. We're a young couple and Median household income is $105,435, which feels pretty solid for the area. Homes are going for about $282,800 on average. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.
I've been here 4 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is outdoor recreation. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is solid.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Uptown side vs the Eastside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..
