Just moved to Brownsville, any tips?

So, My partner and I are The unemployment rate is 3.6%, which is pretty low. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Has anyone dealt with this? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.

I've been here 2 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the nightlife is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Oak Park side vs the Old Town side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
