Thinking about relocating to Brownsville from Boston
Been meaning to ask this. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Thoughts?

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Phoenix about 9 years ago. The main reasons were family and retirement.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Affordable housing options
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Limited shopping options
Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are reasonable, gas is hit or miss.
Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. No regrets on my end..
