Working remotely from Brownsville — my experience

I've been working remotely from Brownsville for 13 years now. Here's my take:

The pace of life here is perfect for remote work. No crazy commute stress, affordable living, and enough amenities to not feel isolated.

Cost of living: pretty reasonable
Internet: Fiber available in most areas — no complaints
Coworking spaces: Growing number of options

If you're looking for a place to WFH, Brownsville is underrated for remote workers.

The job market has been improving lately. Several finance companies moved in recently.

I'd add that the school system has been improving steadily. Otherwise spot on!

I've lived in Cedar Hills for 10 years and it's a hidden gem honestly.

Coming from Chicago, the cost of living difference is noticeable. Groceries and gas are cheaper.

Public transit needs work but they're investing in it. Should improve in next few years.

Rent tip: look for places in winter. Prices drop and there's more availability.

Traffic is the worst part honestly. But if you live near work it's fine.
