Cheapest neighborhoods in Brunswick?

I work in consulting and The unemployment rate is 1.4%, which is pretty low. The city has invested a lot in new development.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in South. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in engineering. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like Asian.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

As someone who grew up here, it's improved dramatically in recent years. A lot has changed in the past few years though. housing market used to be much established but now it's challenging.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a project manager who relocated here from Boston about 11 years ago. The main reasons were weather and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Nice parks and green spaces

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are reasonable, gas is decent.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
